"The Hope Clinic wants to take a message of Hope-education, prevention, care, and not forgetting the girls and women who have already undergone FGM into a global platform. The Hope Clinic will continue to make the eradication of FGM not only a hope but a reality.
Many women seek reconstructive/restorative surgery to counter the harm done and it may offer hope to some, but it is not available in the UK, FGM Hope Clinic will continue to support survivors to access safe evidence-based services, wherever they are, until they are widely available in the UK and free of charge.
FGM is not and African issue, it is a global crisis, and it needs an international response not only in countries where there is system for prevention and care, but also in the countries where FGM is performed. We have a public and global responsibility to ensure that future generation of women, have a right to live free of this abuse of the Human rights.
